Why is what we do important?

In Bulgaria, 14,000 people die annually as a result of dirty air, according to the World Health Organization.

In addition to mortality, air pollution has a strong impact on human health and therefore has a large burden on health care costs in the country.

Poor air quality affects all people, with sensitive and vulnerable groups, such as pregnant women, children, the elderly and especially those suffering from respiratory and other serious illnesses, exacerbating the development of influenza and ARIs, and particularly affecting low-income groups.
Our Mission

Mission 1: We work to promote the science-based health evidence on the harm of the implementation of polluted air among the political decision-making of Bulgaria and Europe. The aim is to improve public health through measures at the national level - changing laws, national plans, and strategies directly and indirectly related to air pollution.

Mission 2: We work in collaboration with health professionals and communities from different cities of Bulgaria to support policies at the local level to make cities healthy places to live;

Mission 3: Increase public awareness of the importance of a clean environment among citizens and vulnerable groups by broadly sharing scientific health and economic evidence using effective advocacy;

Mission 4: We build an internationally collaborative network and partner with organizations around the world to raise awareness and share evidence and best practices in order to protect and improve people's health and well-being.
